Draft – Good late round CTR/WFB option
Will Hopoate played mostly FB last year for the Doggies and that was because DWZ couldn’t cut it in the role. Hopa is an interesting one in, he scored more points at centre in 2019 than he did in 2020. With an unbelievable stat in his last 10 games in 2019 Hopa averaged 54 FP!
Hopa only played 4 games at centre last year and averaged 30 points, a drop of form from 2019 but he could thrive under new coach Trent Barrett. I think he is an avoid for classic with the plethora of Cheap centres available but if you could pick him up late in draft he could be a handy cover player with the ability to play him in WFB or CTR.
I was luck to nab Hopa to cover me if Averillo doesn’t start round 1 for draft, but if his form in the last year of 2019 ever starts to resurface he could jump straight into my starting side.
