NRL Fantasy recommendation - Buy Tryone Peachey

Tyrone Peachey could be the last of the dual position players in CTR/MID that we have enjoyed over the years. It seems the fun police in fantasy headquarters have really clamped down on the dual positions for 2021 but they did leave Peachey for us to ponder on.

Priced at his average of 39 with the cost of $528 000 and a BE of also 39, Peachey has an ownership of just 2.7%.

In a recent podcast on the Talking League Pod we chatted to Jamal Fogarty who dropped that Peachey will play the “same role”. Now if his same role is playing in that lock position where he had an average of 48 points for 64 minutes he could be the CTR to have for 2021 (Lomax had the highest avg of 2020 at 47). Even when he was coming off the bench in 2020 he had a 38 avg for 53 minutes which still places him in the top tier of centres.

Now the big concern here is the signing of Tino Fa’asuamaleaui who played majority of his time at either lock or replacing the starting lock whilst at the storm. Tino could very well play the prop role for the titans to allow Peachey to have the 13 jersey, however there are some quality props at the club that will also want a start in the team.

With the new rules it seems the build of the 13 that a lot of clubs are going for could suit Peachey and his game. I also wonder that with so much success towards the back end of 2020 when Peachey played in the 13 jersey, why change a winning formula?

Will Tino be bought in and worked around the successful club the titans started building last year or will Peachey make way for the new big signings?

Peachey is a pod you should be considering.
